Cozy Pond Side Cottage in Bar Harbor! [The "Nook"]

Ok, but should have looked elsewhere. Positive: Location was ok, otherwise nothing much to love. Negative: Bathroom was run down, looks to have never been updated. WiFi very slow. Place needs to be updated overall. Also, using Amazon basics as your bathroom supplies is overly cheap.

Positive: We liked the privacy we had and the unit was very clean. Staff was quick to answer any of our questions. Negative: Sliding door didn’t have a screen to it and didn’t slide easily or well. Washer and dryer were in a completely different building. Where you needed to park your vehicle, another vehicle kept parking so close that you could not safely get in and out of your vehicle.

Had a great stay at the nook! Prime location, 10 minutes to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Very clean and well stocked kitchen. It has a nice outdoor space that our pup was able to run around in. The only downside was a "busy" road nearby that made it seem a little less secluded, but we would stay there again

Listing lies about a washer and drier, owner is unresponsive, and outside connecting door to bedroom deadbolts from the Positive: The location was nice. A way from the chaos of downtown but not too far. That’s where the compliments end. Negative: They did NOT have a washer or drier like in the listing. If I had known this I flat out would have booked somewhere else. I was on my honeymoon with a dog planning on doing tons of hiking and having wet sandy clothes 1 day in and having no where to wash it( we packed planning on using a washer and drier so we had to change plans AND buy clothes to supplement the rest of our trip to save us time wasted at a laundromat.) and then the property owners ignored my message. Never mind the fact the bed felt like tooth picks were holding it up once me, my wife, and my dog were all piled on it. And that the floor is NOTICEABLY slanted through out the entire building. And all of the windows were dirty and fogged up with seemingly “scum”. And the sliding back door was so hard to open it was basically useless. And how could I forget! The outside accessible door that is in the bedroom less than a foot away from the bed that deadbolts ON THE OUTSIDE, not inside. If I did not have our dog I would have insisted we spend the money on a hotel and get out of that place. All I can say is what in the hell.
